In Turkey, the goalkeeper from Club Altay from Izmir was attacked by a fan with a corner flag during the city derby against Göztepe.

The keeper Ozan Evrim Özenc (29) suffered a four-centimeter laceration on his head, the DHA news agency reported on Sunday evening.

Videos of the incident showed a man running across the pitch and attacking Özenc from behind and knocking him down.

At this point, an ambulance was already on the square to take away a fan injured in the riots.

The game at local rivals Göztepe Izmir had previously been interrupted after firecrackers were set off in the fan block.

According to the DHA, one trailer suffered burns and injuries to his teeth and jaw.

Fans of both teams were evacuated separately from the stadium.
