Brazil qualified for the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup finals by defeating its Swiss counterpart 1-0 in their match today at Stadium 974 in the Qatari capital, Doha, in the second round of the group stage.

The intentions of the Brazilian team were clear by opening the scoring early with the first five minutes, and Switzerland was looking to exploit the mistakes, despite that, caution was the most prominent title of the confrontation in the first quarter of an hour, with a noticeable absence of scoring opportunities from both sides.
With the passing of the minutes, the Brazilian national team became more dangerous in terms of attack and threatened the goal of its Swiss opponent several times, most notably Vinicius' shot after an elaborate pass from Rafinha, but the goalkeeper pushed it away.
In the 86th minute, Casemiro managed to break the scoring knot to give Brazil the lead with a powerful shot. The Swiss team tried to adjust, but to no avail, so the match ended with Brazil winning 1-0.
Brazil beat Serbia with two goals without a response, and Switzerland beat Cameroon with one goal without a response in the first round.
