Munich/Al-Khor – The DFB team was challenged in the second group game against Spain.
Compared to the opening defeat against Japan (1: 2), national coach Hansi Flick made two changes, Leon Goretzka and Thilo Kehrer moved into the starting XI.
In the end it was a high-class 1-1 because Joker Niclas Füllkrug responded to Álvar Morata's goal in the 83rd minute.

Light and shadow for the goalkeeper.
A few minutes after kick-off he prevented the early Spanish lead with a spectacular flight.
On the ball, Neuer seemed unusually insecure on Sunday.
The use of the right-back agreed.
Kehrer brought the necessary aggressiveness into the game, but his positional play left a lot to be desired in some situations.
That's why he received a yellow card early in the game.
(from the 70th minute): OB
Stable performance by the defender, whom Flick ordered back to the center of defence.
Süle had his Spanish opponents under control, especially in the first half, with his calm, robust style of play.
Except for the first goal of the Spaniards.
Then he came the decisive step too late.

Because of a toe length, the header was disallowed five minutes before half-time after a free kick.
Rüdiger did his defensive tasks reliably as usual and tried to bring the necessary calm to the back team.
National coach Hansi Flick again opted for the more offensive option at left-back against Spain.
Raum was preferred to Christian Günter, bit into his opponents' backwards movement and tried to step forward as a left winger.

The midfield strategist was mainly concerned with defensive tasks and therefore did not appear as often in the game as he is known to do.
As a result, his appearance seemed rather inconspicuous, but Kimmich was primarily concerned with organizing the parts of the team.
The only German goalscorer had to (or was allowed to) play as a ten against Spain.
Sometimes he was even on the road as a wrong nine.
Gündogan was not lacking in will, but rather in penetrating power and physicality in this position.

One of his typical speed advances was not long in coming.
But instead of shooting at goal himself, Goretzka played on winger Gnabry.
However, he was offside.
In the center he felt like he won every header duel against the Spaniards.
Another weak performance by the attacker, who lacked the necessary seriousness in the backward movement and also remained offensively pale.

Müller went up one position in the second group game.
As a false nine, the original Bavarian was no less communicative, but not nearly as effective as hoped.

Before kick-off, defender Rüdiger hugged the youngster and whispered something in his ear.
The otherwise so cool Musiala radiated an unusual aggressiveness in his body language.
With a courageous tackle in the middle of the first half, he prevented a big Spanish chance.
Everything was offensive as always: the youngster was always dangerous in his actions.
