Ghana have moved to the top of Group H thanks to their first win at the World Cup in Qatar.
The team won 3-2 (2-0) against South Korea and has the same number of points as Portugal (3), who have played one game less.
In the final group game against Uruguay, Ghana can now reach the knockout stages on their own.
After 23 minutes, the game went on without a hitch, then Ghana took the lead: after a poorly defended free kick by Jordan Ayew, the ball fell at Mohammed Salisu's feet.
From a short distance, the defender didn't let his chances be taken away.
Ghana followed up before the break: Ayew crossed in again, but this time it was Mohammed Kudus who headed the ball into the South Koreans' goal (34th minute).
Turbulent second half
After the change of sides, South Korea pushed for the connection.
Ghana's keeper Lawrence Ati Zigi initially parried a well-placed header from Cho Gue-Sung (53').
But just a few minutes later, the attacker was still successful - again with his head.
And it got even better for South Korea.
Once again it was Cho Gue-Sung (53rd) who made his country's fans cheer.
The striker headed in a cross from the left (58').
Two-goal lead wasted - how would Ghana react?
With another goal!
After an actually unsuccessful action by Iñaki Williams, the ball landed at Kudus.
And the scorer to make it 2-0 took his next chance (69th).
South Korea rushed Ghana's goal but failed to equalise.
The South Koreans were not even able to use overtime of more than ten minutes.
Coach Paulo Bento also saw the red card after the final whistle because he was upset that a corner kick was not taken in the eleventh minute of added time.
