Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jessy Wellmer were once the TV duo on ARD.
There wasn't much to see of that on Monday evening.
Munich – They were once a more or less dynamic TV duo.
In the meantime, they are still colleagues, but can no longer be seen directly together in front of the TV camera.
We're talking about Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jessy Wellmer.
At the last European Championship last year, both worked together for ARD.

Schweinsteiger looks much more relaxed with Sedlaczek at his side.
And Wellmer?
It shouldn't even be on TV at this World Cup.
But shortly before the start of the desert tournament, the 42-year-old stepped in for the sick Alexander Bommes and therefore moderates the ARD World Cup studio.
On Monday there was a "reunion" with ex-colleague Schweinsteiger (WM 2022 live on TV).
While Wellmer, with Thomas Hitzlsperger, Almut Schult and Sami Khedira, was capriciously preparing the TV viewers for the game between Switzerland and Brazil, Schweinsteiger and Sedlaczek were waiting for the handover from the studio.
Shortly before kick-off we went over to Stadium 974 in Doha.
But Wellmer made an embarrassing faux pas.

So Wellmer said: “We are going to Doha for the Brazilian game against Switzerland.
Off to Esther and Sebastian” and then immediately stated: “Oh, God, I said Sebastian.” Afterwards, a laughing Schweinsteiger was shown on ARD: “SEBASTIAN?
Well, you can call me whatever you want,” the Bayern legend took up the lapse easily.
Sedlaczek then smoothed things over by pointing out the old bond between the two: "If someone can call you Sebastian, then Jessy Wellmer, right?" Schweinsteiger continued to react coolly and gave a casual "But of course" before the duo took over the game dedicated.
When ARD then switched back to the studio and Wellmer was seen again, the TV lady crawled and offered Schweinsteiger with a fat wink: "You can now call me Jenny or Peggy, that's fine too."
