Hasan Kivran's former leadership style as President of Türkgücü Munich continues to cause a sensation.
Two former employees remember.
Munich – Hasan Kivran's five-year commitment to football has left its mark.
After becoming a patron in December 2020, the 56-year-old marched with the club from the state league to the third division.
Opinions are always divided on the perception of how Kivran has led the club as president.
For example, despite repeated claims from ex-coaches and employees, he claims he never interfered in the line-up of the team.
"I wouldn't be a good entrepreneur if I dictated the line-up to the coach.
I pay him to make decisions.
The talk about it is rubbish.
[...] I am not the sole ruler.
On the contrary: I enjoy working in a team and I like working with young people,” Kivran claimed at the end of March after his retirement and the subsequent collapse on Heinrich-Wieland-Strasse.
This is contradicted by someone who should actually know: Mario Erb, now with district league club MTV Munich.
Türkgücü Munich: Mario Erb "can't say anything good about Mr. Kivran"
The ex-pro played 21 games in the regional league in 2019 and was the undisputed leading player under the then coach Reiner Maurer.
Until he left the training camp in Antalya to help his wife give birth to their daughter.
"Kivran didn't like that I didn't ask him personally," Erb recalled in an interview with the Bild newspaper.
"I have nothing good to say about Mr. Kivran."
Another unnamed member of the former club management goes even further in the report: “Kivran is a macho and acted like a dictator.
He would yell at the players in the dressing room.” The new allegations came to light as Kivran made headlines again away from football.
The entrepreneur fell in love with TV starlet Ekaterina Leonova (Let's Dance).
