French pride was slightly damaged yesterday (Wednesday) when the tricolor lost 1:0 in the prestigious meeting against Tunisia, but it really didn't stop Didier Deschamps' team from advancing to the round of 16 from first place at home straight to the meeting against Poland this coming Sunday.
Either way, the French delegation was not relieved by the disallowance of Antoine Griezmann's goal in the 98th minute and intends to challenge the result of the game.
An official appeal to FIFA has already been made when in France they demand that the result of the match be determined to be 1:1 because the referee of the match whistled for the end and only then changed his ruling through Hovar.
After a late disallowed goal, Les Bleus lost 1-0 to Tunisia but still finished as Group 2 winners.

It is important to note that initially the referee Matthew Conger approved the goal when even on the television broadcast in France they interrupted the broadcast when the result showed a 1:1 tie, therefore most viewers did not understand that the game ended in a loss for their team.
Also, in France they emphasized that the referee must not blow the whistle to end the game and only then reverse the decision.

If the result of the game changes to a 1:1 tie, the French will score another point, but the matter will not affect the position at home when Tunisia will remain in third place and France is first with 7 points.
