There is a scenario in which the Williams brothers, who had never played for a different team from each other until the end of last September, face each other on the biggest of grounds.
For that, it would be necessary that Spain, on track for, finish at the top of group E and that Ghana, which faces Uruguay on Friday, clings to its second place in group H. Then that the two teams win their eighth finals.
They would then meet in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on December 9, at the Education City stadium in Al Rayyan.
