In the next few days, EC Peiting will face two opponents with whom he has only recently measured himself.

This causes a lack of understanding among those responsible.

Peiting

– The match schedule in the Oberliga Süd causes some head shaking among those responsible at EC Peiting this season.

This Friday (December 2nd) the home game against HC Landsberg (7.30 p.m.) will be the third meeting with the Lechstadt team in six weeks.

After that, both teams do not see each other for more than three months.

The fourth and last neighboring derby will only take place on the very last day of the main round on March 5th next year.

It doesn't help, we have to go through with it, even if it's funny.

Peiting's coach Anton Saal

"It doesn't help, we have to go through with it, even if it's funny.

For example, we only played against Füssen once,” says ECP coach Anton Saal, whose team has a decent schedule of three games awaiting them over the next five days.

On Sunday (December 4th) they go to the Starbulls Rosenheim (5 p.m.), on Tuesday (December 6th) the Peitingers have to go to the Tölzer Löwen (7.30 p.m.), where the Pfaffenwinkler were guests only a week and a half ago.

"All heavy chunks," says Saal in front of the demanding three-pack, which is heralded with the home game against Landsberg.

Landsberg is currently in outstanding form

"They're on a roll right now," says Saal about the HCL, which has won six of the last eight games.

There was also the memorable 2-1 defeat of the ECP in Landsberg, in which the people from Peiting missed a myriad of excellent opportunities to concede the decisive goal shortly before the end.

"But we're in good spirits too.

And we want to win our home games,” Saal is confident of being able to take revenge on his own ice with his neighbors, whom they defeated 7:4 in the first game.

Starbulls Rosenheim has staffing problems

The ECP also delivered a good game in the 1:3 in the home game against Rosenheim.

The Starbulls had strengthened themselves with two players from the DEL just before the game.

Most recently, however, the Rosenheimers again had massive personnel worries, which brought them defeats against Höchstadt and Memmingen.

"Nevertheless, the Rosenheimers still have a strong team," Saal sees his team as an outsider against the second-placed in the Oberliga Süd.

Coach Saal is hoping for a less wild game against Tölzer Löwen than last time

Just a few days ago, the people of Peiting showed how they could defeat Bad Tölzer, who are going to the next Tuesday, in a 7-6 spectacle after a penalty shoot-out.

"Why shouldn't we be able to do that again?" said Saal, who was hoping for a less wild game this time.

"Sometimes we think too aggressively," complains the ECP coach.

"We have to find a better balance between attack and defence," Saal demands and hopes for fewer goals conceded while still being highly effective.

"We are now in an important phase," says Saal looking at the table.

The competition has recently moved closer together because the supposed favorites unexpectedly dropped points.

Samuel Payeur and Alexander Winkler are not available for Peiting

However, the Peitingen coach is not looking too far ahead: "We're still looking from game to game," Saal makes clear.

However, he has to do without Samuel Payeur (knee injury) and Alexander Winkler (unable to work) in the upcoming hat-trick.

It is possible that long-injured Marco Habermann and Tim Rohrbach will return to the team.

"They've been back in training since Monday," revealed Saal, who didn't put any pressure on the returnees.

"Maybe they won't return until next week," said the coach.
