The Syrian Automobile Club crowned the contestants who achieved the first positions in the championships it held this year in various categories in an honorary ceremony held today at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.
The press conference that was held during the honoring ceremony was preceded by the screening of two short films about the success of the club, its races and the efforts of its cadres during the previous stage.
Vice Chairman of the club’s board of directors, Dr. Samer Khader, told SANA that the club has made great efforts to continue motorsport, and the ambition is to reach the furthest point at the local and external levels, pointing out that he will strive with the club’s cadres to overcome difficult circumstances, since this sport is financially costly to promote Participation with economic events, support for upcoming tournaments and activities.
Khadr indicated that there is a study to attract new talents in all kinds of car races, including electronic ones.
The winners of the current season's championships in various categories expressed their happiness with this honor, which motivated them to make more efforts in preparation for the next stage, calling on the club's management to increase the number of local and foreign championships.
