The controversial goal yesterday (Thursday) by Japan against Spain continues to grab headlines around the world even today.
The local sports channel BEIN published an animation with simulation from the goal line technology, which proves without a doubt that it was a legal goal.

As you may remember, after Kaoru Mitoma passed the ball to Leo Tanaka who rolled it into the Spanish net, the broadcast cameras showed in the replay before the pass that the ball was on the border of the outside line, and it was difficult to determine whether it did not go out of bounds of the field.
The goal was initially disallowed by the linesman, but after a lengthy VAR review, the goal was upheld.
Japan's victory caused one of the title candidates, Germany, to be unexpectedly eliminated from the tournament.
