The SG Barockstadt couldn't have said goodbye better to its own fans after a successful year.

In the last home game of the year, SGB celebrated their highest win of the season in a 5-0 (3-0) win over VfR Aalen.

SG Barockstadt lost the first leg 0:3.

To this day it is the highest defeat of the SGB season, "Welcome to the regional league" said Dominik Rummel after the away defeat at VfR Aalen.

The fact that the baroque city has meanwhile acclimatized in the league has not only been obvious since the second leg.

But above all the home game against VfR showed how much the SGB has learned.

Regionalliga Südwest: SG Barockstadt celebrates highest win of the season

In August, the brutal efficiency of the Aalener was the reason for the clear success.

In the second leg, coach Sedat Gören's team held up a mirror to VfR and impressed with an almost 100% chance evaluation.

Two players should stand out from a very good team performance: Marius Löbig with one goal and three assists and Moritz Reinhard, who managed a flawless hat-trick in the first half.

According to the same principle, Löbig got a hat-trick of assists and Reinhard got his hat-trick: Löbig got through three times via the right flank and three times Reinhard stood in the middle with more or less protection and pushed the ball over the line.

Learning effect equal to zero at VfR Aalen, who acted without ideas offensively, revealed large gaps defensively and played the entire second half outnumbered because Ali Odabas, the last man, prevented Reinhard from scoring the fourth goal.

Dominik Rummel celebrates his comeback after more than three months of injury

VfR trainer Tobias Cramer made two substitutions at the break, brought in a more powerful striker in Jonas Arcalean and a defensive man in Mehmet Bagci to at least compensate for the deficit in defence.

But he couldn't get his back team close, because Leon Pomnitz found the free Löbig, who scored to make it 4-0 and thus extinguished the last spark of hope for a catch-up race.

As a result, the guest was not visibly trying to limit the damage and continued to look for the way forward.

This gave the hosts the chance to counterattack, but Reinhard, Jan Lüdke and Pomnitz didn't take advantage of the chances.

Kevin Hillmann, who completed a nice combination with substitute Jonas Pfalz, put the end to a great performance by SGB.

In addition, the return of Dominik Rummel after a three-month injury break contributed to the general good mood of the SG Barockstadt.
