Maybe it's my bad timing, but almost every time I watch World Cup games on ZDF, there are men in the studio with the same hairstyles and the same white sneakers.
Their names are Jochen, Per and Christoph and they look like triplets.
They don't wear socks, they wear booties.
I call her JoPerCh.
I happen to know that ZDF has excellent female reporters, but they are apparently well hidden by their bosses.
Last Sunday, for example, during the Germany vs. Spain game, Sven interviewed Hansi beforehand, while Per, Christoph and Jochen were sitting in their uncomfortable armchairs in Mainz.
The game was commented on by Oliver and Sandro, then Niclas, Manuel, Thomas and again Hansi were interviewed by men.
At half-time, JoPerch shook their heads affectionately about why Gavi, the Spaniard, doesn't tie his long shoelaces properly.
Christoph guessed that Gavi likes the rattling sound when running.
It's not that the second doesn't make an effort to squeeze a little diversity into the program.
On Wednesday, before the game between France and Tunisia, national team player Anja Mittag was allowed to come into the studio for a short time.
Claudia Neumann commented in the stadium.
But last night, when I switched on Switzerland against Spain, the Group G final, everything was the same: the triplets in Mainz, and in Qatar Bela explained to Sandro why he likes Serb Pavlović so much.
My feeling is: When it becomes important, the second rather let the boys do it.
In the first come the analyzes of Esther Sedlaczek, Jessy Wellmer, Lea Wagner, Almuth Schult and others.
The World Cup is more fun that way.
