Maccabi Haifa for the Holocaust Museum of Thessaloniki Israel today

As part of Maccabi Haifa's training camp in Thessaloniki, the champion was invited to a friendly match against Aris Thessaloniki at Aris Stadium, which will take place tonight.

As decided by Aris Thessaloniki, all proceeds from today's game will be donated to the construction of the new Holocaust Museum in Thessaloniki, a museum in the construction of which the German and Greek governments and the Stavros Nearhus Foundation are partners.

As a sign of tribute, the greens will come up to play with shirts on the front of which, instead of the sponsor Volvo, will have the Jewish Holocaust Museum in Thessaloniki.

After the game, the shirts signed by each and every player will be sold, with all proceeds going to the building of the museum.

The sporting director, Gal Alberman and the captain, Neta Lavi, visited today at noon together with the management of Aris Thessaloniki and the heads of the Jewish community at the Holocaust memorial in Thessaloniki and laid a wreath in memory of the fallen.

The president of the Greek club, Mr. Theodoris Karifidis, told the official website: "Long before Maccabi Haifa decided to come and hold its training camp here in Thessaloniki, I was in contact with Maccabi to invite them to the game against Ares. The game symbolizes for me the good relations between Greece and the respected Jewish community.

"As we decided, all proceeds from the game will be donated to the construction of the Holocaust Museum in Thessaloniki so that we can all remember and not forget. I congratulate the president of Maccabi Haifa, Mr. Yaakov Shahar, who joined this gesture and Maccabi will play with special shirts dedicated to the Holocaust Museum and that the income from their sale will also go to the construction of the Holocaust Museum. It should be noted that earlier Rami Gershon visited the grave of his grandfather, who was one of the few survivors from the Thessaloniki community.
