Yann Lesgourgues, 31, substitute scrum-half for Union Bordeaux-Bègles, fell while riding a scooter on the night of Saturday to Sunday, at 4 a.m.
Sud Ouest says he left the Chaban-Delmas stadium around 10:30 p.m. after the success of UBB against Brive (33-13).
He fell while driving alone, rue Léo-Saignat, near the stadium.
He was evacuated to CHU Pellegrin and suffered in particular from a broken jaw.
The lining of Maxime Lucu at UBB, came into play in the 58th minute, against Brive (33-13), this Saturday.
He has been playing with the Girondin club since the 2014-2015 season.
