Women's D1: winner of the derby at Paris FC, PSG prepared the clash in Lyon well

PSG won against Paris FC this Sunday at the end of the 10th day of D1 Arkema (1-0). Les Parisiennes are 2nd two points behind L

The PSG players come to celebrate the victory with their kop present en masse in the visitor park of Charléty.

Before the match, PSG supporters gave a nice ovation to one of the club's legends, the Brazilian Rai, now an ambassador for Paris FC, who kicked off.

But as in the stands, there was no photo on the ground.

A week after having come close to the feat against Lyon (2-3), Paris FC was this time overwhelmed.

The ceremony to celebrate the 315th match at the Annaïg Butel club had a bitter taste.

It was the 33-year-old central defender from Paris FC who had given her team the only thrill, but her goal was disallowed for a prior foul (29th).

For the rest, PSG goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi spent a very quiet afternoon.

“We were closer to Lyon than to PSG, recognizes striker Louise Fleury.

We see that these two teams are still above us and that we still have a lot of work to do.

Physically, PSG was superior, we moved.

" This is also the opinion of Sandrine Soubeyrand, the coach of Paris FC: "There is not too much disappointment, the PSG has shown itself above in terms of collective mastery, maturity, and athletic qualities.

To compete, we would have had to be at 150%, but today we had two or three girls who were less well.

When we meet Lyon and PSG, we don't rely too much on points but we will have to quickly raise our heads and continue in what we know how to do, without inventing things that we don't know how to do.

If Paris FC, which has not won for 4 home games now (a first since 1993 when the club was still called Juvisy), remains 3rd, Lyon and PSG are already far away and the chasing pack led by Montpellier ( 2 points behind) is getting closer.

"It's our best game of the season"

On the PSG side, the smiles were present.

Last week, coach Gérard Prêcheur attended PFC – Lyon in the stands of Charléty.

He studied the game of Paris FC well, his plan worked well.

After the rescues of Chiamaka Nnadonzie in the first period on attempts by Geyoro and Diani, it was Sandy Baltimore who concretized the grip of PSG (0-1, 55th).

But this small goal difference in the end does not reflect the superiority of PSG in this match.

"I told them that the game would be more important than the stakes," explains Gérard Précheur.

I wanted us to return to a certain quality on a collective level.

It seems to me that we have responded well.

It's a deserved victory.

I even think it's our best game of the season.

PSG has prepared well for a week that promises to be crucial.

After a trip Thursday against the Albanians of Vllaznia during the 4th day of the group stage of the Champions League, Sunday (9 p.m.), it will be the classic of the championship in Lyon which beat Dijon 8-0 this weekend .

“We will already have to manage this match in Albania, warns Prêcheur.

We may have the impression that Lyon is not in its best period with all its injuries.

But it is precisely the characteristic of the big teams to still manage to win in these moments.

“As the coach told us, Paris FC was a quarter-final, the Champions League will be a half and Lyon will be a final, smiles defender Elisa De Almeida.

I think we're ready to move on.

It was a derby, we were aggressive and managed to raise our level of play.
