World Cup: England outclasses Senegal and goes into quarters

2022-12-04T21:33:09.345Z

Imperials, Harry Kane and others made short work of the Terranga Lions (3-0) to join France in the quarter-finals.

A show of strength.

If Senegal deceived for half an hour, England then flew over the round of 16 between the British Three Lions and the Teranga Lions (3-0).

It was enough for the opener of Jordan Henderson (38th), followed just before the break by the first goal of the competition for Harry Kane (45th + 3rd), for the Senegalese to completely lose the thread.

In the second half, Saka completed the success of England (57th).

The English will challenge France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Saturday December 10 (8:00 p.m.).

Looking at the starting eleven of England, one could legitimately wonder about the absence of Marcus Rashford, author of three goals in the group stage.

But the performance of the attacking trio Phil Foden-Harry Kane-Bukayo Saka proves Gareth Southgate right.

The Tottenham striker and Arsenal winger each scored a goal, both served by the Manchester City midfielder.

Another man made a strong impression: Jude Bellingham.

At only 19 years old, the Dortmund midfielder performed an XXL performance, with a high volume of play and decisive actions.

It was he who served Henderson on the first goal, before making an excellent outing on the second.

At the end of the match, the English were able to spread their bench depth by bringing in Jack Grealish, Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Kalvin Phillips.

It's a well-established team that awaits the Blues in the quarter-finals!
