The HSG Freising-Neufahrn wins the top game against Altötting.

Table leader Dachau keeps the HSG at a distance thanks to a win against SC Eching.

District – The handball players at HSG Freising-Neufahrn solved their own task by winning the BOL duel with Altötting.

However, the hoped-for support from Eching did not come, the SCE had to admit defeat to the leader of the table from Dachau in the home hall.

Second-placed HSG Freising-Neufahrn now meets leader Dachau

HSG Freising-Neufahrn – TV Altötting 24:20 (10:10).

HSG coach Erik Brasko was already satisfied with the defensive performance and the performance of the outstanding goalkeeper Andreas Meßner in the first half.

But: "Unfortunately we made far too many technical mistakes up front." Therefore, the hosts were constantly chasing a deficit and were 8:10 behind just before the break.

Konstantin Vopel and Alexander Heldner still managed to equalize.

The HSG started the second period wide awake.

Vopel took over more and more command and, according to Brasko, now showed an excellent performance: "He was by far the best on the pitch today." Sebastian Wärthl was also strong on the right wing - thanks to him Freising-Neufahrn widened the game and after that 40 minutes it was already 17:12 for the hosts.

There was still too little coming from the backcourt, but thanks to the continued good defence, the guests could hardly come close.

For the top duel against Dachau next weekend, the coach is hoping for top performer Tobias Kapser to return, but is not dissatisfied for now: "We've got the two points we were hoping for, that's okay."

Goals:

Konstantin Vopel 8, Sebastian Wärthl 7, Michael Schuster 3, Alexander Heldner 2, Ernad Huzejrovic 2, Benjamin Moses Becker 1, Sebastian Christensen 1.

SC Eching: Compatriot gets two two-minute time penalties early on

SC Eching – ASV Dachau 23:36 (12:19).

SCE trainer Thomas Gentgen spoke of a "strange game".

After just a few minutes, Eching's best player, Thomas Landsmann, received a two-minute penalty.

"The referee then marched right behind him, probably waiting for Thomas to say something." Thomas did him a "favour" and promptly received another time penalty.

After that, Gentgen could only use it sparingly, and in the Echinger game, a break followed after the quick 2-0 lead.

In addition, the hosts were unlucky, hitting the post or crossbar ten times in the first half alone.

After a quarter of an hour it was 6:11 from the point of view of the SCE.

By the break they had already conceded 19 goals.

In the second half you tried everything - Kevin Pausch dared to throw one shot after the other.

He was successful seven times, but according to Gentgen he should easily have hit double digits.

After 40 minutes it was 17:25, in the final phase the gap increased further.

Goals:

Kevin Pausch 7, Marvin Kripgans 4, Konstantin Daum 4, Thomas Landsmann 4/1, Justin Pausch 2, Lukas Danzer 1 and Christoph Weilbach 1.

SG Moosburg unlucky

SSG Metten – SG Moosburg 26:25 (11:13).

SGM coach Otto Holländer quarreled after the defeat: "We were the stronger team and deserved at least one point." In the first section, the Moosburgers were almost always in the front.

First, 8:5, then 13:9, before it was 13:11 at the break.

The fact that the result wasn't clearer was due to various time penalties against his men, the trainer complained.

In the second period, the Moosburgers stayed on the trigger thanks to a good defense.

Up front, Ferdinand Menzel and Tobias Stuckenberger in particular presented themselves in strong form.

Less than five minutes before the end, Daniel Kumpmann scored to make it 23:21 – but according to the Dutchman, this was followed by two unauthorized minutes against Marius Bölling.

The hosts took advantage of the superior number and scored two goals.

In the final phase, the SGM was unlucky again with a crossbar hit at 25:25.

The hosts' winning goal then fell after a foul by a striker, but the SGM coach didn't want to complain after the encounter: "It's just the way it is, you can't do anything about it.

I'm still very happy with the performance."

Goals:

Daniel Kumpmann 8/6, Ferdinand Menzel 6, Markus Voggenreiter 4, Daniel Stuckenberger 4 and Marius Bölling 3. BY BERND HEINZINGER
