The VfB Stuttgart left-back was unable to take part in the Croatians' final training session on Sunday due to an infection.
Sosa had already felt exhausted on Saturday and developed a fever.

"We will definitely not take any risks," said national coach Dalic on Sunday before the final training session and made Sosa's assignment dependent on his participation in the unit.
"We will only compete with players who are 100 percent fit," Dalic continued.
According to media reports, Sosa is also said to have been tested for the corona virus with negative results.
