Two weeks after Yair Albuhar moved the country when he decided to donate his bar mitzvah money to Shalvah, after reading about the association's activities in "Israel Hayom", he was invited yesterday (Sunday) to hold an exhibition training session with the Israeli national team.
The young judoka arrived in the afternoon at Wingate and received the honor of opening and closing the training, while in between he had fights with Tal Flicker, Toher Botbol, Baruch Shmailov and Peter Palachik, whom he admires.
"Peter invited me to come back whenever I wanted to train with them," said Albuhar, "he told me a really beautiful sentence at the end that will stay with me forever - 'The strongest thing I have is my smile and my enjoyment of judo and that's what you should try to keep for the rest of your life,' because This is what will advance me the most in judo, the love and enjoyment of the sport."
His mother Irit added: "The article hit a lot more waves than I thought. The amount of cheers that Yair received and the shares amazed me. The training was an amazing experience that Yair will remember for a lifetime. I thank Peter for the hospitality and wish the whole team success in the upcoming competitions."
