The Syrian national triathlon team won three gold medals in the West Asian Championship, which is currently being held in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of nine countries.
Muhammad Sabbagh won the gold medal in the “elite” category, while Adnan Zaki and Alaa Abu Ammar won two gold medals in the U-24 category.
The head of the Football Federation, Nasser Al-Sayed, explained in a statement to SANA that the results achieved by our players are good, and the Syrian flag was raised high on the podium and the national anthem was played three times, pointing out that this participation comes in line with the General Sports Federation's keenness to participate in tournaments that help our players to compete. And increase experience to achieve distinguished results in the upcoming competitions, especially the Asian Championship and the Asian Tournament.
