On paper, the Spaniards are certainly the favorites.
However, if you look at the performances of both teams, Morocco certainly doesn't have to hide.
The North Africans advanced to the knockout stage in a strong group with Belgium and Morocco top of the group.

The game today at 4 p.m. would have been “Germany’s World Cup Round of 16”.
As you know, things turned out differently.
The Spaniards gambled away the group victory with Japan's bankruptcy, slipped into the easier half of the tournament tree as a "reward" and ended up ahead of Germany because of the better goal difference.
Morocco is now waiting in the round of 16 and not runner-up Croatia, who eliminated Japan in a dramatic game on Monday.
However, Spain should not underestimate the North Africans.
Morocco convinced in Group F as group winners.
The Africans scored against Croatia (0-0), Belgium (2-0) and Canada (2-1).
The triumvirate of Bayern star Noussair Mazraoui, PSG defender Achraf Hakimi and Chelsea artist Hakim Ziyech is a particular focus for the Moroccans.

Not only because of the three superstars, Spain coach Luis Enrique warned: "I saw how Morocco came first in a very difficult group, are in wonderful shape and there are many fans from Morocco here in the stands".
In a possible quarter-final you would meet the winner of the other round of 16 on Tuesday.
At 8 p.m. (CET), Portugal and Switzerland will fight for the last quarter-final ticket.
