Despite the early exit of his national team at the World Cup in Qatar, Hansi Flick will remain the German national coach for the time being.
This is the result of a crisis meeting in Frankfurt on Wednesday, as confirmed by the German Football Association (DFB).
Germany were eliminated from the group stage in Qatar after losing to Japan, drawing against Spain and beating Costa Rica.
Flick took over the position of national coach in August 2021 from Joachim Löw, whose assistant coach he was from 2006 to 2014 before he first trained FC Bayern as an assistant and then head coach.
Flick's longtime confidant Oliver Bierhoff resigned from his post as DFB sports director on Monday.
