The future of the national coach is unclear, his latest statement gives deep insights.
Frankfurt – It's over, that's it: Oliver Bierhoff's DFB time is over.
The director and managing director prematurely terminated his contract, which ran until 2024.
It's the result of the second messed up World Cup in a row.

It was clear that after the 2022 World Cup there would have to be a discussion at the Otto-Fleck lane.
President Bernd Neuendorf had already announced that there would be an analysis.
National coach Hansi Flick is therefore expected to attend a crisis meeting at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt on Wednesday.
After all, the home European Championship 2024 is already coming up in a year and a half.

The reaction of the 57-year-old was published on the DFB homepage.
"My coaching team and I are finding it difficult at the moment to imagine how the gap created by Oliver's departure can be closed professionally and personally.
Our cooperation has always been characterized by loyalty, team spirit, trust and reliability.
Cohesion was in the DNA of our team,” Flick is
quoted as saying on
dfb.de.

And further: “For me personally, Oliver was my first contact and friend within the team.
Our common goal was the EM 2024 project in Germany.
For Oliver, the focus was always and exclusively on the well-being of the national team, the DFB and German football.
I would like to thank him personally and as the national coach for this long collaboration and the invaluable trust that has been placed in us.
This trust is and remains the greatest asset in football.”
