The final minutes were fatal again: HSG Isar-Loisach lost a clear lead again at 27:28 against Würm-Mitte II.

Wolfratshausen – With the handball players of the HSG Isar-Loisach it is like bewitched.

Three weeks ago they were leading 17:14 in Kaufbeuren up to the 40th minute - and lost significantly in the end.

Things didn't go any better in the home game against Weilheim: HSG lost a five-goal lead in the last eight minutes.

The home game against the reserves of HSG Würm-Mitte was just as bitter: This time the team led by player-coach Adrian Marcu for 59 minutes.

And in the end it was another 27:28 defeat.

"Everything as always," commented Marcu.

"We fought well, but we made mistakes in the last ten minutes that cost us the win."

"Zack" - and coach Marcu has a lock in his muscle

Marcu himself was badly marked by the game, he was only able to leave the field limping.

He suffered the injury in the very first action: after less than two minutes of play, he recovered and scored to make it 1-1.

After that, he could no longer stand up without help.

"I can't even explain how it happened," said the player-coach.

"Suddenly my left foot snapped and now I have a small hole in my muscle." Marcu is likely to be out for the rest of the year.

Goalkeeper Aßmayr holds brilliantly

His absence hurt because the HSG could only muster ten field players anyway.

But the team put up a pretty good fight.

Goalkeeper Jörg Aßmayr kept what was possible against the third in the table.

The defense was - also thanks to the recovered Patrick Friedrich - quite solid.

The ending went well for a long time.

Florian Seemann scored from almost every position and ended up scoring five goals.

Marco Reimann showed nerves of steel and sunk all five seven meters.

HSG was clearly leading at half-time with 15:11 and in the 57th minute still with 27:25.

But the hosts had shot their powder with that.

A bad pass, a misthrow by Isar-Loisach, two goals by Würm-Mitte - and it was already 27:27.

And then a really nice lob from Moritz Herrmann fell just next to the goal, Florian Seemann only hit the post after he had been fouled: small things made sure that the hosts left the field beaten again.

In the last ten minutes it was kind of out of breath

Coach Adrian Marcus

"In the last ten minutes the air was somehow gone," analyzed Adrian Marcu.

"Maybe we have to train differently or change differently." Apart from that, "everything was okay," says the coach.

"Jörg Aßmayr was our strongest man, although he studies and doesn't train often." The rest of the team, which was made up of junior and reserve players, also played well.

"It was clear that this would be a year of work after the three strongest players left us in the summer."

Now you have to be patient and wait for the time after Christmas.

Marcu should then have recovered from his muscle injury and top pitcher Lukas Neumüller is back from his trip around the world.

HSG Isar-Loisach – HSG Würm-Mitte 27:28 (15:11):

Mihai (T), Sadowski 1, Friedrich 3, Borgmann, F. Seemann 5, K. Seemann, Reimann 6 (5/5), Bilobrk ( T), Knierim 2, Marcu 1, Jansen 3, Aßmayr (T), M. Herrmann 1.
