Oliver Bierhoff: DFB director and managing director dissolves contract
Bierhoff made Germany European champions in 1996 with his golden goal, and he has been active for the German Football Association (DFB) since 2004.
Now, after 18 years, he takes his hat off and terminates his contract, which runs until 2024, with immediate effect.
Too late, as commented on tz.de.
Ultimately, Bierhoff made history when he helped win the 2014 World Cup.
Now, however, his name will always be associated with the two World Cup embarrassments in 2018 and 2022.
In the ARD interview with Esther Sedlaczek, Bierhoff was already missing solutions immediately after the World Cup in Qatar.
On the contrary.
The "Director of National Teams and Academy" and "Managing Director of National Teams and Academy of DFB GmbH & Co KG" even admitted mistakes in matters of one-love management.
According to his own statement, he should have moderated the debate better.
