In 2002 he led Germany to second place in the world championship, after the preliminary round at the EM 2004 it was over.

Voller would be available like Tuchel.

It was only last summer that he more or less retired after many years at Bayer Leverkusen, most recently as managing director.

The 62-year-old could take over the scepter in the DFB team until the home European Championship in 2024 and then possibly hand it over to Klopp.

Jupp Heynckes as Flick's successor: Germany's national coach would be the crowning glory

Don Jupp has achieved everything in his coaching career.

Champions League winners with Real Madrid, treble winners with FC Bayern – more is not possible.

The only thing missing is a big success with the national team.

Heynckes has already helped out when the need was great.

In the 2017/18 season he stepped in at Bayern and still won the championship.

However, it is questionable whether the Mönchengladbach native will be looking for the big stage again at the age of 77.

As a national coach, however, he would be far less in the spotlight than as a club coach.

Maybe Heynckes will take Bond coach Louis van Gaal as an example, who at the age of 71 is the oldest coach at the 2022 World Cup.

Bastian Schweinsteiger as Flick's successor: 2014 world champion knows the German weaknesses

After the Germany game, the world champion put his former assistant coach through the wringer.

Schweinsteiger dismantled the DFB selection live on TV and, unlike Flick, seemed to have answers to the German debacle as a World Cup expert in the ARD studio.

The national coach does not.

As the leader of the 2014 World Cup, Bastian Schweinsteiger would be immediately respected and recognized within the team.

The former midfield strategist undoubtedly brings the technical qualities with him, only experience as a coach could be lacking.

The only question is whether the 38-year-old would want to swap his carefree life as a private individual, husband and father for the role of national coach, who is often under fire.

Can Flick continue after the World Cup debacle?

As a result, the DFB does not have many alternatives as a successor to Hansi Flick.

A hasty shot is not to be expected.

A change just a year and a half before the home European Championship in 2024 would come as a surprise despite all the omissions.
