How far will the Blues go?

Victorious over Poland in the round of 16 last Sunday (3-1), France will meet England in the next round.

With the table already known in its entirety, it is possible to imagine the different scenarios and paths for each of the teams, including the Netherlands and Argentina, who will also face each other in the quarter-finals.

Note that Brazil, very easy winner of South Korea (4-1) and with the return of Neymar, will face Croatia who took out the valiant Japanese team on penalties (1-1 ap, 3-1 tab).

In the other part of the table, Portugal, without Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting lineup, crushed Switzerland (6-1) with in particular a hat-trick from Gonçalo Ramos.

Fernando Santos' men will face Morocco, who surprisingly defeated Spain on penalties (0-0 ap, 3-0 pens).

Brazil and Argentina far from the Blues

One thing to note in this table: two of the favourites, Brazil and Argentina, could find themselves in the semi-finals.

And thus only meet France in the event of a possible final in Qatar.

The quarter-finals will be played on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 December, the semi-finals on 13 and 14 and the final on 18, in Lusail.

Didier Deschamps' players will play at Al-Bayt, the stadium which served for the opening match, in the quarter, as well as for a possible semi-final.
