First, Brazil's head of media strokes the head of the unusual guest, before he finally makes short work of it and grabs the cat's hump with both hands to simply throw it off the pedestal.
Vinícius Júnior, who is sitting next to him, looks a bit irritated throughout the whole action and a murmur goes through the room in the audience too.
When the spokesman noticed this, he briefly raised his hands in apology, but was undeterred and called the next journalist to answer his question.
After that, the press conference continued as normal.
