Many residents of Sabará, a small city in the State of Minas Gerais (Brazil) with just over 137,000 inhabitants, gather expectantly in front of the peculiar television station TV Muro to enjoy the matches of their country's team in the Cup World.
Its creator, Francisco dos Santos,
Chiquinho
, boasts that it is "the best television station in the world".
With a television built into the wall of his house, Chiquinho has been broadcasting news, trivia and sports programs since 1996, with segments recorded by hand by himself in his home.
One of the most popular events on this station are the broadcasts of the World Cup matches, with interviews with viewers.
Chiquinho even created his own “murocop”, a helicopter made from a plastic bottle, which with a cell phone attached to the bottom, captures aerial images of the public.
He also has the support of Denis Silva, who plays his star reporter, called the
Salada reporter
, in charge of interviewing the neighbors on the street and commenting during sporting events.
