Nine months after she was arrested at the Moscow airport for having cannabis oil in her personal bag, American basketball player Brittany Greiner was released from a Russian prison as part of a prisoner exchange and will return to the United States.
The deal between the countries is one prisoner in exchange for another, when the Russians will get back Viktor Baut, who was called the "merchant of death".
The President of the United States Joe Biden said: "I spoke a few moments ago with Brittany Greiner. She is safe, she is on the plane on the way home."
