Good news shortly before the start of training for the lions: the club has done its economic homework and nothing stands in the way of the license for 2023/24.
What a contrast for the pros from TSV 1860, who will be returning from their holiday trips tomorrow at the latest: sun, palm trees, good spirits.
And suddenly: return to an environment that, three days before the start of training (Monday, 11 a.m.) outdoes itself in sketching horror scenarios.
Threatening bankruptcy, point deductions, Morgalla emergency sale, escape from the coach - the rumor mill is running hot, but there is also good news.
The best: The reality doesn't look nearly as bleak.
Our editorial board knows that the worst-case scenario financially is off the table.
As is well known, the over-indebted KGaA of TSV 1860 has to prove year after year that it can handle another season.
The HAM side is usually not happy about having to extend further loans or convert them into participation certificates, but it doesn't help: insolvency is not an alternative.
So both shareholder sides sat down and were now able to present the required result - the so-called "positive continuation prognosis".
I don't understand how you can come up with such nonsense.
Stop sixty!
President Robert Reisinger on bankruptcy rumors circulating.
"I can assure you that we have all done our homework and will continue to do so," said Hasan Ismaik via Instagram: "There can be no question of a point deduction or other sanctions." Such a thing was "never an issue," said President Robert Reisinger also responded to our question: "I don't understand how you can come up with such nonsense.
Stop sixty!”
Cologne to St. Pauli?
Reisinger refers to the current contract
Reisinger commented similarly briefly on the report that Michael Köllner should be on the coach wish list at FC St. Pauli.
"He's still under contract with us," he said.
Probably means: Köllner stays.
