The Spanish Football Federation announced the dismissal of coach Luis Enrique, coach of the national football team, after the early exit from the World Cup finals, and the appointment of coach of the under-21-year-old Luis de Lafuente in his place.
The federation said in a statement on its official website that Luis de Lafuente was chosen as the new coach for the national team, following its exit from the round of 16 in the World Cup after losing on penalties to Morocco.
Luis Enrique became the fourth coach to be sacked after his team was eliminated from the World Cup.
