There is nothing like Messi, but Azili is better: the fans who are waiting for the return of the Premier League Israel today

Argentina, Brazil and even Morocco are exciting many of us in their World Cup journey • But if you ask the burned-out Israeli fans, they would rather travel four hours to a game in Kiryat Shmona, win a derby or eat an overpriced hot dog at the Green Stadium • So with all due respect to the World Cup, please - give back We already have Israeli football

There is no substitute for pyro and firecrackers

World Cup, friends, what fun!

But between us, how much do you want us to be already behind?

How much do you miss the smell of the meadow in Sami Ofer?

How much do you want to drift after the northern stand and shake the stadium in the game of the national champion?

So it's true, we now have the biggest football celebration in the world, but for us, fans with green blood, there is one football celebration, and it's called Maccabi Haifa!

They took us for a particularly long break.

I won't tell you that it wasn't good for Maccabi Haifa after starting a season where we played in every possible setting - it was definitely exhausting.

But enough, enough, we want to see our green again on the lawn, want to go crazy with her, jump in the gutters and go wild as if it were our last day.

Messi in Argentina, Neymar in Brazil and Mbappe in France is beautiful and it's sexy, but there is no substitute for Azili, Piero, Haziza and the rest of our greens.

For us they are everything!

So dear World Cup, without any cynicism and without any criticism or sympathy towards you or towards FIFA and its leaders - we are humble, satisfied with what we have - and we want to return.

Let us already go back to our stands in Sami Ofer, where we will give our throats and hearts to the only and true team as far as we are concerned.

There we will have one, beloved and loving, a virtuous unit and for us the best in the universe.

Maccabi Haifa will be waiting for us there!

The heart wants what is ours

Two weeks since the World Cup started - and for us, the fans of Israeli football, it was enough to understand that we are not so connected to this celebration.

No, I am not referring to the hostile attitude that makes us Israelis feel unwelcome in Qatar, but rather the high level of the national teams, especially the small and surprising ones, which proves that Israeli football is a nice sport, but it is not defined under the same category that world football belongs to.

Watching quality football is not bad for a certain period of time, but hell.

Even the fake identification of local fans with countries and national teams far away overseas has already been extinguished.

I too have sinned by excessive and fake sympathy for Argentina.

Well, still, this country has a lot of heart and passion for football that doesn't exist anywhere else.

They are exciting.

But enough, we want to go back to the real pressure before games, to the nerves and excitement that exist only in the games of the team that is truly dear to our hearts, the one we are addicted to and the one because of which we really can't sleep at night.

The time has come for us to return to the Israeli neighborhood.

For the mistakes of the VAR and the curses on the referees that follow.

To go back to the particularly bad hot dog they sell us at the Green Stadium, to go back to traveling four hours from Be'er Sheva to Kiryat Shmona on a weekday for a game at 9 in the evening, and to come home sometime in the middle of the night because the administration simply doesn't care about us.

Want to go back to being excited by the scenery in the south stand in Turner.

But mostly they want to go back to being happy and shouting "yes" for real and from the bottom of their hearts.

We want to come back to support our team again - our heart wants Hapoel Beer Sheva!

If you win in Doha, then you are lucky

The last two weeks feel like a pretty trick rehab program to me.

Suddenly a rather strange joy for football came back to me.

At times it doesn't even feel like a matter of life or death.

I sit in front of the screen and am happy to see crazy revolutions and dramas.

The enthusiasm increased, especially after I had already hit a bull's eye in guessing the results with the guys.

In a moment I call it "22 crazy people running after a ball" and that's it.

But tell me - what is it worth if it doesn't make me tear my hair out or hug 5,500 people in Gol?

Even if this World Cup doesn't make you want to disappear after a loss, who cares if you can't celebrate anyone's blood?

Boring.

I won't really tease my neighbor who is a fan of Brazil if Croatia surprises them, it's not that I won a derby or that Maccabi Haifa lost points to Beni Reina.

I don't even have the right to complain: about the queues at the entrance to Netanya Stadium, about the exorbitant price for a glass of Coke, about the idiot who allows himself to take a penalty shot from the stands, and even about the long traffic jams due to construction work on the coastal road on the way home.

We need emotional involvement.

That's what we gathered for.

The World Cup is really great, but if you want to win in Doha, then you are Benny Sakhnin in the 87th minute.

Maccabi Tel Aviv, here we are again, we've been waiting for you here the whole time.

Hope you missed us as much as we missed you.

So come on - home, to the league.

We have a lot to achieve until the end of the season.
