The Erding Gladiators burned down a few more candles than usual on the 3rd weekend in Advent.

With 9:2 (3:1, 2:1, 4:0) goals, Felix Schütz's team sent EHC Waldkraiburg home on Friday evening.

Erding – Because Schütz had more alternatives up front after the return of Lukas Krämmer and Marius von Friderici and the signing of Michael Franz, Mark Waldhausen, who scored seven goals last weekend, was allowed to return to his usual position as a defender.

But that didn't bother him much: after 87 seconds there was the first penalty against Waldkraiburg, and 13 seconds later Waldhausen scored to make it 1-0.

The Gladiators put their foot down and it was 2-0 after just under four minutes – Michael Franz scored the goal. A little later it was almost 3-0, but EHC goalkeeper Kevin Yeingst made a strong save and Jan Loboda reduced the deficit to 1 in direct return: 2.

But in the 11th minute it was 3:1 and it was a goal from the youngsters: Paul Wallek (21) prepared and Wassilij Guft-Sokolov (20) finished.

In the second third, the Gladiators had the game under control, but were not consistent enough in the end, which was promptly punished.

Twice Erding's keeper Thomas Hingel was able to fend off one of the few attacks by the lions, in the third attempt Leon Decker made it 2:3 (30th).

The Gladiators wobbled now, but only just under three minutes.

Then the extremely strong Modlmayr made it 5:2 with a double strike within just 108 seconds.

In the final third of what is now a totally one-sided game, the Gladiators literally dismantled the Waldkraiburgers into their component parts.

Tomas Plihal, Florian Zimmermann and Tobi Cramer, who scored his first Bayern league goal, increased the lead to 8:2 in just 46 seconds in the 49th minute.

And again only 41 seconds later Daniel Krzizok scored the final point to 9:2.
