TSV Jahn Freising wants to stay close to leaders MTV Munich.

Against Bayern IV, however, an increase is needed compared to the previous weeks.

Freising – The last game before the Christmas break could be a real hit again: The basketball players of TSV Jahn Freising welcome FC Bayern Munich IV to a duel in the Bayernliga Südwest. If Freising wants to stay on course for promotion, they have to win this game.

It starts on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. in the Steinpark Hall.

TSV Jahn Freising was lucky in the last two wins

The previously undefeated MTV Munich is currently the top favorite for the championship.

TSV Jahn follows with a defeat, Bayern has already conceded two.

Both teams lost once against MTV – and FCB also against Gröbenzell, who Freising just managed to defeat in a tough fight at the end of November.

However: "Against Gröbenzell and recently with the narrow victory in Augsburg, luck was on our side," admits Jahn coach Oliver Stojanovski.

One thing is clear to him: his team cannot afford fluctuations in performance on Saturday evening.

Why almost all Freisinger players in Augsburg had a very bad hit rate for free throws is still a mystery to those involved.

That was the main reason why things got tight in the end.

"The small hall and the many loud fans right on the edge of the field probably irritated us," Stojanovski suspects.

The Freisingers should not have this disadvantage in front of their home crowd.

TSV Jahn Freising: Ex-Youth Bundesliga player is probably making his debut

Coach Stojanovski can probably only decide in the course of the first quarter which tactics the Jahn-Korbjäger want to use to counter FC Bayern IV.

“That depends on the staff Bayern come to us with.

They have one or two ex-professionals up their sleeves.”

The Freising youngsters have respect for the Munich team - but are not afraid.

The impressive last-minute victories of the past few days have boosted self-confidence.

The top performers Michael Babl and Lukas Schwankner, who were injured for a long time, are getting better and better.

And then, in all probability, Jannis Rodeck will make his debut in the Jahn jersey: The center, which is over two meters tall, played in the youth basketball league (NBBL) in Göttingen.

"He's a real reinforcement for us," says Stojanovski.

"He can help us against Bayern with his skills and height.

We are definitely even stronger with him in the rebound.”

The Jahn coach is confident that his team will go into the match with the necessary motivation and focus, but also with composure.

"We want to rise.

So we have to win every game and be able to handle the pressure.” FROM PETER SPANRAD
