Morocco qualified for the first time in its history to the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup by defeating Portugal with a goal without a response, in the match that was held at Al-Thumama Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, within the quarter-finals.
The only goal of the match came in the 42nd minute through player Youssef Al-Nusairi, to join Morocco with this victory, with Argentina and Croatia, to the semi-finals of the World Cup.
Argentina and Croatia reached the semi-finals of the World Cup yesterday at the expense of the Netherlands and Brazil in the quarter-finals, where Argentina won a penalty shootout 3-4 after a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands, while Croatia beat Brazil with a penalty shootout 2-4 also after they tied with a goal for the same.
