Formula 1 surprises with a wild team boss castling in a very short time.
The Bavarian Andreas Seidl is significantly involved in this.
Munich – Actually, the "Silly Season" in Formula 1 has long since ended.
The drivers of the ten teams have been determined.
But the merry-go-round is now happening at a higher level: with the team bosses.

Team leader carousel in Formula 1: Vasseur to Ferrari, Seidl to Sauber
Crazy castling took place there that week.
Ferrari got the ball rolling by kicking out long-time team boss Mattia Binotto.
As a new strong man, the Scuderia quickly introduced Frederic Vasseur - to date the team boss at the Swiss Sauber racing team, which competes under the name Alfa Romeo.
It was not yet clear who would follow Vasseur.
And this is where Andreas Seidl, who was born in Passau, comes into play: he has been team boss at the ambitious McLaren team since 2019, but he made it clear to his supervisor Zak Brown during the past season that he would not be extending his contract, which ran until 2025.
The split came much quicker than expected.

Formula 1: Seidl becomes CEO of Sauber – Audi will join in 2026
It has been clear since Tuesday: Seidl, who now lives with his family in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in Upper Bavaria, will become the new managing director at Sauber/Alfa Romeo.
He should prepare the team as best as possible for Audi’s entry in 2026.
Together with the new engine supplier, the racing team is planning an attack on the top.
Seidl's successor at McLaren will be Italian Andrea Stella.
Audi welcomed the appointment of the new Sauber CEO on Tuesday.
"Andreas Seidl has extensive management experience from various motorsport programs on the manufacturer and Formula 1 team side," said the Ingolstadt-based company (only 30 kilometers from Pfaffenhofen).
Seidl continues to show "an impressive track record in motorsport".
In his new role, he will help appoint the team boss.

Will Seidl bring Mick Schumacher back to Formula 1?
Seidl could also become the decisive person for Mick Schumacher.
The Schumi son has already been associated with the team because Audi boss Markus Duesmann would like to have a German driver in the medium term.
Another option for Schumacher: a billionaire is planning his own team with him.
The position of team boss at Williams is also to be filled by the way.
On Monday evening, the traditional British team announced the separation from Siegerland Jost Capito (64) after almost two years.
