After Teddy Riner announced that he will come to the Masters in Jerusalem next week, the judoka who is considered one of the greatest athletes in history, announced this evening (Wednesday) on his social networks that he decides to skip the important competition.
Riner, who is in a training camp in the Netherlands, wrote on the networks: "Friends, this morning we made the decision with the team not to go to the Jerusalem Masters. We are taking the time to prepare well for the following dates, starting with the Paris tournament next February."

This time as well, as in the previous cases in competitions in Israel, Reiner was registered and deleted in less than a week, and this time he also informed the French union and its spokespersons that he did intend to make the trip to the capital of Israel, which also caused the Israeli union to issue a notice of his arrival.
Even without him, fans of the sport can expect a big celebration of judo for three days in Jerusalem, with about 400 athletes from 60 countries who have guaranteed their arrival at the competition that concludes the year and gives a lot of points for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
In the list you can see the top ten in the world in almost most of the weights, and with them a considerable number of Olympic, world and European champions, when the Israeli delegation will present a team of 23 sportsmen and women.
In the coming days, the preparations will begin in the arena in Jerusalem, and the delegations will begin to arrive in Jerusalem for the competition that will open on December 20 (the medal fights starting at 17:00), when the day before that the draw for the competition will take place.
