The Olympic Committee in Israel signed today (Wednesday), on cooperation with Tamir, the packaging recycling corporation in Israel.
This agreement connects to the agenda led by the International Olympic Committee and promotes values of sustainability, society and the environment.
The activity of the International Olympic Committee focuses on five key aspects that are expressed in the various activities.
Green construction according to sustainability standards in the areas of material recycling, saving electricity and water consumption.
In addition, the consequences of the climate as a result of global warming will be taken into account in the planning of sports facilities and events while finding environmentally friendly solutions to reduce air pollution, and hence the cooperation with the recycling corporation will transform all its activities into protecting the environment and promoting recycling in Israel.
As part of the cooperation, the Olympic Committee in Israel and Tamir will operate in three main areas: Olympic delegations, education and the requested connection to the Museum of the Olympic Experience.
As part of the Olympic delegations, Tamir and the Olympic Committee will cooperate in connecting the agenda to the field both under the leadership of the Olympic athletes, who will take an important part in projects around the worlds of sustainability, collection and recycling in order to sway the general public to such an important practical action and in raising awareness of the issue.
In the educational aspect, the circulation and sustainability agenda will be rooted in events, content, courses, committees and educational programs led by the Olympic Committee in Israel.
In addition, the cycle agenda will be reflected in the current discourse of the education system in the Olympic Committee in Israel in front of officials in the education system and sports bodies and will include, among other things, the production of a joint brochure that will be part of the Olympic assessment for schools and will even be distributed to the Olympic delegation.
At the Olympic Experience, recycling bins will be placed and visitors will enjoy content on the subject as part of the tour of the Olympic Experience Museum.
