Boris Becker was apparently released from the English prison.

Almost at the same time, a trailer for a documentary about the conviction of the tennis legend appeared.

Munich – For a long time there had been speculation about the further fate of Boris Becker.

Now, just before Christmas, there is apparently good news for the tennis legend: release from the English prison and return to Germany - Becker is said to have landed near Munich on Wednesday.

Review: Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on April 29, 2022 in London for concealing assets worth millions from his insolvency administrators.

As a result, a world collapsed for the German sports idol.

Although there was great sympathy for Becker from many friends and fans, the prison was still safe.

Immediately after he entered prison, information leaked out about how Becker was doing in prison.

It was a difficult time for the now 55-year-old, but apparently he took advantage of it.

Born in Leimer, he taught other prisoners, kept fit - and is now probably free again.

What's next?

After the deportation, Becker does not face renewed criminal prosecution in Germany.

It is currently not known whether there are still probation conditions.

It was initially unclear when exactly the two-part series, which does not yet have a title, should be published.

But the first scenes have already been published - and they're tough!

In a short trailer, Becker can be seen with red eyes and a brittle voice.

At that time, a few days before the sentence was announced at the end of April, he made his tearful confession: "I've reached my lowest point.

I'll see what I do with it."

The short clip ends with the words: "It's Wednesday afternoon, on Friday I will know the rest of my life."
