After his release from prison in England, Boris Becker is deported to Germany.

There are various reports about the whereabouts of the tennis legend.

Munich/Stuttgart – Boris Becker is free.

The German tennis star was released from British custody after almost seven months and returned to Germany this Thursday because the English authorities deported him as part of his release from prison.

Boris Becker: Deported from England to Germany

Becker's lawyer confirmed the news on Thursday afternoon (December 15): "Our client Boris Becker was released from custody in England and left for Germany today." he was serving his sentence at Huntercombe Prison in Oxfordshire, west of London.

Boris Becker had lived in Great Britain for the past few years.

His prison sentence was actually two and a half years.

Under British law, probation would only have been possible after half the sentence had been served.

However, Becker benefited from a special release and deportation program.

Any foreign prisoner “who can be released from prison and deported up to twelve months before the earliest release date” is eligible for this in Great Britain.

However, there was confusion on Thursday evening about the whereabouts of the tennis icon in Germany.

It remained unclear where Becker ended up after leaving England.

At least there were signs that he had arrived in southern Germany.

Boris Becker: Landed in Stuttgart or in Munich?

As reported by

Der Spiegel

, Becker allegedly wanted to fly from Farnborough in the direction of Munich Airport in a chartered private jet from Air Hamburg.

Accordingly, the Wimbledon winner was also on the passenger list of the "Cessna Citation XLS" type machine.

However, he was apparently not on board.

A spokesman for Munich Airport told

t-online

: “There was only one passenger in the machine that is supposed to be there.

And that was a woman.

You just don't know, the whole thing is like a big game of hide-and-seek.

A spokesman for Munich Airport told t-online

FOCUS Online

wrote that Becker's plane could not land in Munich due to the weather.

Due to heavy snowfall and slippery weather as a result of minus temperatures and freezing rain, the airport in the Isar metropolis was actually temporarily paralyzed in the middle of the week.

According to a report by Die

Welt

, Becker arrived in Stuttgart instead.

There is no confirmation of this yet.

Boris Becker: guesswork about the whereabouts of the German tennis icon

It would suit Stuttgart that Becker comes from the small town of Leimen near Heidelberg in Baden.

The fact that the winner of the Australian Open (1991, 1996), Wimbledon (1985, 1986 and 1989) and the US Open (1989) lived in the Bavarian state capital in the early 1990s speaks for Munich - but without being registered there.

Which later earned him his first criminal record for tax evasion.

And so it goes on, the guesswork about the whereabouts of the tennis icon that Germany has back.

And vice versa.
