Alexander Nübel is expected to return to Bayern Munich in the winter.

The 26-year-old Nübel has been on loan to AS Monaco for a year and a half.
There, the keeper developed after initial difficulties into an absolute top performer.
His contract on the Cote d'Azur runs until June 30, 2023, which is why Bayern now have to spend some money to lure the keeper back to the Isar.

reports, it should be a seven-digit amount.

Bayern are reacting to the absence of captain Neuer, who broke his tibia and fibula while ski touring last week.

Due to the absence of Neuer, coach Julian Nagelsmann currently only has Sven Ulreich as an experienced keeper in the squad.
That was obviously too sensitive for the Bayern bosses, which is why Nübel is now working on his early return.
The keeper still has a contract on Säbener Straße until 2025.

Nübel joined FC Bayern on a free transfer in 2020, but only played four games in his first season.
The native of Paderborn was then loaned out to Monaco, where he has shown strong performances this season and is fighting for a place in the Champions League with AS.
In the Europa League, Bayer Leverkusen is waiting in the intermediate rounds.
After the developments in the last few hours, it is not conceivable whether Nübel will be part of the game.
