Nevertheless, the track and field athlete from Penzberg achieved great success with her result in Löningen.

Julia Rath, who goes to school in Nuremberg and has been competing for the LAC for some time, ran the 4.12-kilometer route in 15:11 minutes and was the best Bavarian in the field of 50 participants.

With her result in Lower Saxony, the obstacle specialist secured the overall victory in the U20 ranking in the “German Cross-Cup” ahead of schedule.

The series, revived by the DLV this year, comprises a total of five stations, with the DM forming the fourth event.

Rath has taken part in all races so far.

She now has 190 points to her name.

The closest pursuer, Kira Weis from Baden-Württemberg (KSG Gerlingen), has 120 points.

In the Cross-Cup, the first 40 athletes in each race receive a certain number of points based on their placement.

First place is worth 60 points, second place is 54, third place is 48, and so on.

Weis was the favorite in Löningen and did justice to this role.

With a time of 14:32 minutes, she won the German title, clearly ahead of Lisa Merkel (LG Region Karlsruhe/14:43) and Carolina Schäfer (TG Schwalbach/14:46).

Luk Jäger is also well placed in the German Cross-Cup.

Before the final event in Weinstadt (December 17), the TSV Penzberg athlete leads the U23 ranking with 126 points.

Second is Munich's Johann Ioannou-Nikolaides (120).
