FC Bayern need a replacement for injured goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Gladbacher Yann Sommer could switch to Munich as a successor in winter.
Munich – Will the Bayern fright suddenly become a savior?
FC Bayern is feverishly looking for a new goalkeeper for the second half of the season.
Regular goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer will probably not be able to intervene in the current season after breaking his lower leg.
With Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern could solve their problems in the goalkeeping position in one fell swoop.

Yann Sommer as new successor?
Gladbach goalkeeper became a Bayern fright
This game will probably not be missing in any season review.
On August 27th, Gladbach's goalkeeper Yann Sommer wrote Bundesliga history and set a new record with 19 saves.
Bayern found their master in the 1-1 in the Swiss goalie, only Leroy Sané was able to overcome the goalkeeper.
In hindsight, a little over three months later, Sommer's world-class performance at the Allianz Arena could be tantamount to a letter of application.
Because Bayern now need a substitute after Neuer's skiing accident, preferably with experience and not too expensive.

New replacement at FC Bayern: "Summer change in winter would make sense for everyone involved"
Yann Sommer, who has been playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach since 2014, has been one of the best and most consistent Bundesliga goalkeepers for years.
Advantage from Bayern's point of view: Sommer's contract expires in the summer.
According to reports, the Swiss does not want to extend the contract and would therefore be available on a free transfer.
If summer comes to Bayern in winter, Borussia could still collect a fee for a transfer.
However, this should not be too high due to the short remaining term of the contract and a market value of five million euros.
“If you think about it for a long time, a change of summer in winter would make sense for everyone involved.
Bayern would get one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga, who knows the league very well, for a price below market value," writes the

FC Bayern is worried about Neuer: Summer transfer could close the Nübel trap
FC Bayern has already discussed a transfer from Sommer internally, as reported by Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg.
If the change works out, the club would have peace of mind in the goalkeeper position.
Because it is still completely open whether, when and, above all, how Manuel Neuer will return after his serious injury.

Sommer will be 34 on December 17th, but in contrast to Neuer, who will soon be 37, he is still much younger.
A premature return of the heir to the throne, Alexander Nübel, who was loaned to Monaco, would be associated with the risk of burning him out as a result of a new comeback.
If the worst comes to the worst, Sommer could keep Neuer's place after the season and then take over Nübel in the following years, his contract in Munich runs until 2025.
FC Bayern is examining replacement candidates for Neuer: will there be an upcoming world champion?
With all the planning games about Neuer, Sommer and Nübel, Bayern are also thinking about other options – and are looking at the World Cup in Qatar, among other things.
There "the octopus of Zadar" makes the opposing attack lines despair, namely Croatia's goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic.
The bosses even let themselves be personally convinced of his qualities live on site. Oliver Kahn watched the game against Brazil in the stadium.
Another candidate to replace the injured Neuer is Costa Rican Keylor Navas from upcoming Champions League opponents Paris St. Germain.
