Annecy / Le Grand-Bornand - In the middle of December 2022, the biathletes are guests in the French winter sports resort of Annecy.

Biathlon dream couple finally on track in the World Cup
In the sprint in Annecy, Benedikt Doll took third place, and Herrmann-Wick also made it onto the podium.
The 23-year-old Frenchwoman finished just behind Herrmann-Wick in her home race.
Sophie Chauveau thus ensured her best result in the World Cup of her young career.
As our colleague Tobias Ruf wrote in the live ticker: "She made the stadium tremble." In her four starts so far (as of December 16, 2022) she took 71st, 19th, 34th and 37th place. And one man in particular should keep her fingers crossed pressed: the German and partner David Zobel.
Zobel made 19 World Cup starts in his career and caused a sensation in the individual in Kontiolahti, Finland, when he celebrated his first ever podium finish with zero penalties.
Incidentally, he starts for SC Garmisch and said in an interview with the Munich newspaper about his third place: "After the race it was sensory overload.
Before that, I didn't start with these expectations, I just wanted to get into the points and never thought that it would be enough for the podium, even on the track.
Afterwards you are of course happy, but it takes a while before you can think about this achievement yourself, because there is a media marathon and so many congratulations coming.”

The two made their breakthrough this winter, and they have found each other privately for some time.
The Frenchwoman posted a picture of the two on vacation in Cuba on Instagram in April.
The two have been a couple for several years.
Whether at the Oktoberfest, in the snow, in summer or in Cuba - they always seem happy in the photos.
If the sporty form persists, nothing stands in the way of a nice winter, on and off the cross-country ski run.
