Kevin Kuranyi, former German national player, injured his knee badly on the fringes of the World Cup in Qatar.
The 40-year-old suffered the injury in a “legend game”.
Doha - The former striker of VfB Stuttgart and FC Schalke 04, Kevin Kuranyi, was invited by FIFA to take part in the so-called Legends Cup, which was held this week in the tennis stadium in Doha - away from the action surrounding the 2022 World Cup in Qatar - increases.

Kuranyi suspects the worst after a serious knee injury
“I somehow twisted my knee and felt straight away that something was probably broken.
Unfortunately, the first suspicion is that a lot has snapped," Kuranyi told the German Press Agency on Thursday.

It is also unclear when the former goalgetter, who scored 111 goals in 275 Bundesliga games during his playing days, will be able to return to Germany.

Matthäus, Klinsmann, Robert Carlos and Co. at the Legends Cup
Around 100 former football professionals are taking part in the Legends Cup this week, competing against each other in different teams.
There are, for example, the German record international player Lothar Matthäus as well as ex-national player and national coach Jürgen Klinsmann, Brazil legend Roberto Carlos, Youri Djorkaeff (France) and Francesco Totti (Italy).
Kevin Kuraniy competed for the Northern Bears team, which also includes former Mexico goalkeeper Jorge Campos.
Before suffering the serious injury, the striker, who obviously hasn't forgotten anything about scoring goals, scored another goal.
World Cup: Final on Sunday
Kevin Kuranyi will probably have to watch Sunday's World Cup final from his sick bed.
The final between Argentina and France will take place next Sunday (4 p.m.).
On Saturday (4 p.m.) there will be a match for third place between Croatia and Morocco.
