The football game of the U17 district upper league between TSV Murnau and Kirchheimer SC had made waves.

Now the youth sports court has dealt with the case and made a surprising judgment.

Murnau –

Dominik Otte is sitting at home anxiously waiting for a call.

But the cell phone of the Oberammergau referee remains silent.

Instead, he later learns that the youth sports court of the football district of Upper Bavaria made a judgment on the scandalous game on November 13 that "disappointed" and "shocked" him.

Chaotic scenes after game abandonment

As a reminder: The U17 district league game between TSV Murnau and Kirchheimer SC was canceled at the beginning of the second half.

Referee Otte dismissed the Kirchheim coach Hüseyin Sözer with yellow and red.

Sözer then denied that someone else could look after the team.

According to BFV statutes, however, this is a must.

Then there were chaotic scenes.

The Kirchheimer besieged the referee, a KSC player is said to have choked the referee.

While the referee chairman Klemens Wind who was present confirmed Otte's descriptions, the Kirchheim side denied the strangle allegation.

A video then appeared that a father of a KSC player had taken from the back goal perspective.

It could be seen how the Kirchheimers circled the referee after the demolition,

pushed him and talked to him.

Not, however, the supposed stranglehold.

According to Otte, this should have happened at the moment when the Kirchheim player cluster covered him from the camera.

Surprising judgment of the youth sports court

Now the youth sports court is dealing with the case - and came to a surprising verdict: the accused Kirchheimer player was acquitted, coach Sözer was fined - probably in the amount of 75 euros - due to unsportsmanlike conduct, and the game has to be made up.

KSC trainer speaks of "difficult times"

A national newspaper was the first to report on the court decision, including the votes from the Kirchheim side, but without letting Otte, Wind or a representative of TSV Murnau have a say.

The online portal Fupa reached coach Sözer: "Those were not easy times.

It was very difficult to deal with all the hate comments, some of which were racist," he said.

At the same time, the KSC coach wanted to thank the BFV for "the fact that the negotiation was extremely fair".

But you have to at least hear witnesses.”

Otte himself was not given a written verdict, only Kirchheimer SC is said to have received it.

But the news of the decision caused horror for the referee.

He understands that if you can't prove someone's crime 100 percent, then the presumption of innocence applies.

"But you have to at least hear witnesses," demands Otte.

That obviously didn't happen.

Only Kirchheim had made representations to the court.

Referee chairman Wind, the Murnau trainer Caroline Rieger, or the referee Emilia Kluck - she was also there at the game - as well as players from Murnau's B-Jugend waited for a call from the sports court on the day of the hearing, but did not get any .

The fact that Rieger and the Murnau B youths were not questioned

also confirmed the head of the football department, Michael Adelwart, when asked by the daily newspaper.

"No one else was listened to, apparently only decided on the basis of the video and the Kirchheim statements," Otte suspects.

Referee Otte sticks to his statement

At the same time, the 20-year-old says that his medical certificate also played no part in the trial.

After the game, he drove to the Murnau accident clinic, where he was diagnosed with “contusions on the soft tissues of the neck”.

"I asked three times, but the sports court didn't want my certificate." Otte stands by his statement that he was choked and that he also recognized the perpetrator 100 percent.

According to the court, the accused player was "demonstrably completely uninvolved away from the action." Otte replies: "Yes, then he stands away from the action and takes off his jersey." And asks: "Why should he do that if he hasn't done anything has?” After the verdict was announced, the referee received a message from the accused player via Instagram.

"Haha, am acquitted.

See you",

Lots of open questions

On Friday, the daily newspaper tried in vain to reach the responsible judge and the chairman of the district sports court.

An assessor declined to comment.

A written request sent to the BFV on Friday afternoon remained unanswered by the time of going to press, but should be forwarded to the responsible persons.

So many questions remain unanswered.

For example: Is it customary for only the accused to be heard before the youth sports court?

Although the video shows tumultuous scenes.

Possible legal remedies are being examined

It is now open how to proceed.

According to Otte, it is being examined whether an appeal can be lodged against the decision of the youth sports court.

The referee wanted to talk to the association referee chairman Sven Laumer on Friday evening about this topic.

Chairman Wind, who could not be reached on Friday, had also announced that he would explore further options.

Trouble for the referee himself

Otte is now in trouble himself. Although he did not receive the verdict, he received a different letter from the youth sports court: He is now accused of unsportsmanlike behavior due to his choking allegation.

"Incredible, now I'm supposed to be the culprit." His referee friends also reacted with incomprehension, whose general tenor, according to Otte: "Then we can all stop."

Abandoning the game was a mistake, new paragraph in the youth system

In any case, the game abort turned out to be a mistake.

Because since August 1 there has been a paragraph in the youth regulations of the BFV, which states that the coach can continue to look after his team despite the dismissal if no one else can take over the role.

But neither Otte nor Wind knew about this new paragraph.
