Maria Höfl-Riesch has had a unique journey.

On her XXL cruise, she also met other celebrities.

Munich – The winter sports season is now really picking up speed.

Before the big World Cup highlights come in February and March, important World Cup races are still to come in December - be it in biathlon, alpine skiing or on the ice track.

One who is already looking forward to it is a true winter legend in Germany: Maria Höfl-Riesch.

Maria Hoefl-Riesch

Born: November 24, 1984 (Age: 38 years old), Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Spouse: Marcus Höfl (married 2011)

Achievements (including): Olympic champion, world champion, world cup winner

Maria Höfl-Riesch undertakes a six-week dream cruise

The Olympic champion and world champion has apparently made her travel plans in such a way that she is back in her home country at the prime time of winter sports.

Because in the past few weeks, Höfl-Riesch was more likely to be seen in the sand or on the beach than in the snow.

The now 38-year-old posted beautiful pictures from Cape Town and the Seychelles in October and November.

She simply wrote about the place of longing in the Indian Ocean: "Welcome to Paradise."

The hashtags make it easy to find out what Höfl-Riesch has been up to this fall.

She writes "#cruise" again and again - so the former ski goddess was on a cruise lasting several weeks.

Maria Höfl-Riesch enthusiastic about the Taj Mahal

This also led her to India, where she was very taken with the Taj Mahal: “Today I was able to experience an absolute highlight.

Already at 6am we stood in front of the Taj Mahal and could watch how this incredibly beautiful building was slowly bathed in golden light as the sun rose.

Thanks to the whole squad for the great organization and that we did it together," wrote Höfl-Riesch - two days after her birthday.

Of course, her husband Marcus Höfl was also there on the six-week trip with stops in South Africa, Mauritius, the Seychelles and Maldives, India, Thailand and Malaysia.

Maria Höfl-Riesch spent six weeks on a dream vacation: During her trip she even met the Wontorras

And obviously other people were - at least for a short time - part of the travel group: Jörg Wontorra and his daughter Laura!

The father is a legendary presenter, the daughter successfully follows in his big footsteps.

Laura wrote under Höfl-Riesch's latest Instagram post: "It was so nice with you." The answer: "With you too!

Have a safe journey home and hope to see you soon.”

Maria Höfl-Riesch is now posting snow and ice again instead of beach and sea

There are no joint photos of Höfl-Riesch and the Wontorras, but there are certainly many beautiful memories.

Now, in mid-December, everyone has arrived back in cold Central Europe.

Instead of pictures of dream stands, there are now winter landscapes with lots of snow and ice.

At least for Höfl-Riesch, this sight should be just as paradisiacal.

On the other hand, she was less pleased with an article about Florian Silbereisen.
