Who will not erase the disappointment of defeat.

The French Football Federation (FFF) will have to be content with pocketing 28.5 million euros after the fine course of the men of Didier Deschamps in Qatar for the first World Cup disputed in an Arab country.

A tidy sum that will do good for the (positive) accounts of the most powerful sports federations in France.

To discover

  • The summary of the Argentina - France final

A sign that the crisis is not the same for everyone, Fifa has granted more substantial revenue to the two finalist countries since Argentina will receive 40.2 million euros, while the Blues had received the sum of 32 .2 million four years ago in Russia.

The reason?

The international body will redistribute 411.8 million to the thirty-two selections present against 322 million in 2018. Yet another proof that the World Cup remains a fabulous cash machine and continues to grow in terms of profits.

As a reminder, the FFF, as it usually does, had simply budgeted for a quarter-finalist place, which will allow in the coming weeks to benefit from more than expected.

Sums that will be donated, in large part, to the amateur world.

Another question remains.

What about the distribution to the main players, namely the players and members of Deschamps' staff?

On the overall amounts, the FFF, after negotiation with the executives of the France team, will pay 30% of the sums collected to the internationals, who are 26 in number despite the packages of Karim Benzema and Lucas Hernandez, as well as to the main elements of the "DD" framework.

Charities

In the end, it comes to around 295,000 euros per person, knowing that the Blues would have received 400,000 euros if they had won the third star.

But to this must be added an important element, namely the competition bonuses, revised downwards compared to four years ago.

Clearly, with a defeat, the amount rises to 449,000 euros (295,000 + 154,000).

As a reminder, like what Kylian Mbappé did for his Premiers de Cordée association, of which he is a sponsor, after the 2018 World Cup, many internationals donate this sum to charities.

Some communicate on their gesture, others do not.
